Born and raised in New York, Kel began musical career as a disc jockey at the early age of 14 during the hey days of the 1970 disco era. He would spin music at house parties, neighborhood block parties, school dances or anywhere good music was needed, often for free just for the love of music.

In 1981 Kel attended Boston College where he landed a position at the school radio station, WZBC, hosting a weekly broadcast. In 1983 he transferred to Atlanta where he attended GSU and received his Bachelors Degree. For more than 8 years he also served as the sound engineer and radio broadcast editor for his church.

His love of music and facilitating people having a great time shines through brightly whenever Kel is spinning the music at an event. Be it Jazz or Hip Hop, Country or Swing, Salsa or Big Band, Kel understands the music and knows how to mix it for your affair.
