Barry Sermons, originally from Plainfield, NJ, grew up listening to the popular music sounds of the 60’s and 70’s.  Artists from Motown, the Rolling Stones, War, Elton John, Parliament-Funkadelic and The Commodores were some of his early party music inspirations.  He continues to listen to and enjoy many rhythmic genres. Musical Variety is his specialty.

His DJ career started at around 9 years old being chosen to pick the hits off of albums and 45’s to entertain family and friends at social gatherings, garage parties, school dances and family wedding receptions.

Today DJ Sermons entertains guests around the country.  He has over 15 years of experience in party planning and has collected an extensive musical library.  Sermons formed Studio Mix to fill the niche of bringing the energy of the nightclub dance floor to just about any venue, indoors or out.  His production company features earthquake sound and intelligent lighting equipment that can accommodate huge special events, conventions and live concert performances.
